María Oruña (Vigo, 1976), a Galician writer, graduate in law and a lawyer. Of Cantabrian father, she has been frequently visiting Cantabria ever since she was a little girl. The plots of her books, Puerto Escondido (Destino, 2015), Un lugar a donde ir (Destino, 2017) and Donde fuimos invincibles (Destino, 2018) have all been set there. In the three novels which make up a saga but can be read independently, both the characters and the landscapes have won the hearts of thousands of readers. There is a new stand-alone novel in preparation soon to be published by Ediciones Destino.
