Sara Desirée Ruiz, born in Granollers in 1979, is an outstanding professional in the field of social education, with a solid academic background obtained at the University of Girona. Graduated in Social Education, she has complemented her training with a Postgraduate in Design and Management of Educational Programmes in Youth Leisure Time, and a Master’s Degree in Psychotherapy and Attachment Theory at the same institution. With more than two and a half decades of experience, Sara has specialized in adolescence.
In 2022, Sara published her first book, ‘El día que mi hija me llamó zorra: Claves para educar en la adolescencia’, which offers practical guidelines for families and professionals. Her second book, published in 2023 and entitled ‘Te necesita aunque no lo parezca: recursos para acompañar adolescentes y potenciar su autoestima’. Both have been very well received and have already had several editions. Lo que dejan las madres is her first novel.
